Thousands of iPhone Users Use Skype Illegal UAE

Thousands of iPhone users in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are known to illegally use the Skype service. The reason is the country's regulator banned the use of Skype for its citizens since 2006.
However, according to daily reports of The National, Apple users download the Skype application via the iTunes application store. The user then uses the Skype network via Etisalat-owned operator. As a result, the UAE government plans to block access to iTunes.
Communications regulator UAE (TRA) said, when Skype application is provided by third parties such as downloaded from iTunes does not mean Skype then be legal to use. And of course regulators could block access to the iTunes store.
Meanwhile, Rouzbeh Pasha, head of Skype Middle East and Africa reveals, in fact all Skype is available in the App Store, Skype and other applications will continue there.
"This is part of the Skype ecosystem, in the near future you will receive Skype on television devices such as Panasonic and Sony, so it's hard to block Skype," said Pasha
The UAE is one of four states that do not allow users to download software and site blocking Skype. Other countries that block is DPR Korea, Oman and Kuwait.
