Results of mobile browser speed study conducted by a company called Gomez found that the mobile version of Apple's Safari is the fastest, while the BlackBerry's browser is the slowest.
Gomez did this survey specifically for browser tools provided by vendors such as smartphones, the iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and Android. Opera is not included, because it is a third-party browser tools.
According to Gomez, IPAD can load a full page with an average of 8.4 seconds. iPhone came in second place at 19.7 seconds, followed by 36.5 seconds in the position of Android, and Blackberry in last place at position 61 seconds.
Launched Mis Asia on Monday (2/28/2011), Gomez also analyzes the page that is loading, how long it took each browser to load the items visible "above the fold" on the screen (ie elements that can be seen by you when you first visit page without scrolling down).
In this test, the iPad again came out on top, with the perceived load time of approximately 6.6 seconds. IPhone clock in at around 15.7 seconds, followed by Android at 28.2 seconds, and a BlackBerry in 43.8 seconds.
